Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Head Of Information Access Rights. This position is responsible for managing and monitoring information requests, providing advice and guidance to business groups, briefing ministers and senior officials, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the Freedom of Information Act and strong communication skills. They will also be able to demonstrate experience in managing electronic document and records management systems and a good understanding of data protection principles.

The post holder will need to engage with senior managers, manage and monitor information requests, provide advice and guidance, brief ministers and senior officials, and ensure awareness within the department about information management best practices.

They will also assist with records and information management projects and collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of the Freedom of Information Act

Desirable Skills:

  • Certified Data Protection Practitioner qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of managing electronic document and records management systems
