High Availability Database Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL database professional to lead our team's efforts in designing and implementing scalable database architectures for high availability, partitioning, replication, and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Database Design: Design and implement efficient database architectures that ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Query Optimization: Analyze and optimize complex queries, indexing strategies, and database configurations to improve overall database performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance and proactively address bottlenecks in queries and data flows.
- Security: Implement strong security standards (RBAC, encryption, security best practices) and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Database Tuning: Tune databases via query analysis (EXPLAIN), indexing (B-tree, GIN, GiST), configuration changes, and use of partitioning and materialized views as needed for scale.
- 7+ years of professional experience with PostgreSQL in large-scale, production environments.
- Strong SQL and PL/pgSQL skills with deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals.
- Proven software development experience (C/C++, Python, Go or Java).
- Experience with schema design, indexing strategies, and data partitioning.
