Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.


Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: develop project scope, schedule and monitor delivery; coordinate with stakeholders and team members to ensure smooth project execution.


  • Dependency Management: identify and manage external dependencies across the project.


  • Risk Management: communicate and manage project risks and issues.


  • Programme Roadmap: maintain a visual representation of the project roadmap and inflight deliverables.


  • Monitoring Outcomes: track key performance indicators and measure project success.


  • Business Case & Financial Governance: oversee business case development and financial management throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Product Owner and IT Partnership: collaborate with Product Owner and Solutions Delivery Manager to achieve project goals.


  • Continuous Improvement: partner with Product Owner and Solutions Delivery Manager to evolve project processes and improve outcomes.



Decision Making - make informed decisions that impact the project, escalating issues that cannot be resolved to the relevant governance forums.


Problem Solving - identify and resolve project-related problems, adhering to project methodology and addressing deviations promptly.


Collaboration - work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.


Level of Influence - influence project outcomes through effective communication and negotiation with senior stakeholders.


Experience / Knowledge

  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the financial services sector.


  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects and excellent presentation skills.


  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.


  • Ability to manage projects across their full life cycle, from initiation to closure.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.


  • Primary degree and a recognized project management qualification (e.g., PMBOK/Prince2).
