About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and leading a team of junior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assistance in timely preparation of annual statutory accounts and regulatory returns, including quarterly and annual audits, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Taking on ad-hoc business projects as directed by Finance Management, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge to drive business growth.
  • Monthly review of debtors/creditors, cash flow, and supplier payments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Review of overheads and other daily accounting requests from senior management, providing insightful recommendations to optimize business performance.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year PQE or near completion of qualification, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Previous experience working in a Practice firm, preferably in a similar role, showcasing your ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA etc.), with a solid foundation in technical knowledge and industry standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Previous experience in a busy finance department, handling multiple tasks and priorities with ease and efficiency.
