About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of elderly patients to identify their physical, mental, and functional abilities.

You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.

Your expertise will be utilized to improve patients' daily living skills, cognitive function, and emotional well-being through therapeutic techniques.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to deliver holistic care.

Educating patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to support home-based care is also a key aspect of this role.

Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress is crucial for effective care.

Participation in team meetings and contributing to case discussions and care planning is also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

CORU registration is also mandatory.

Prior experience working with children or in a mental health setting is highly desirable.

A full driving license and access to your own car are advantageous.

Residency in Ireland and a legal right to work in Ireland without restriction are also required.

All candidates will undergo Garda Vetting, and International Police Clearance may be necessary if you have lived outside of Ireland for more than six months after the age of 16.
