Procurement Specialist Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the procurement function and ensuring seamless execution of purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase Order Management: Generate, review, and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure all orders are properly documented, approved, and controlled.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms and resolve issues. Maintain vendor information, including contracts, pricing, and performance evaluations.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. Coordinate with departments to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized procurement records and documentation. Prepare reports on procurement activities as needed.
  • Cost Containment: Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Maintain procurement documentation and create new documents as required.
  • Team Support: Provide administrative support to the Procurement Manager, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and handling day-to-day inquiries.
