Job Overview

The Procurement Support Specialist plays a key part in the end-to-end procurement process, including monitoring and control of product category sales contracts, sales orders, procurement support and system reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate customer sales contracts to ensure compliance with agreed product listing and pricing guidance.
  • Liaise with logistics teams to ensure customer service levels are met.
  • Process and follow-up on open customer Sales orders.
  • Support purchasing managers in maintaining new product master-data setups, supplier cost price updates, retail price updates and other related activities.
  • Raise central purchase orders for consignment stock and general stock into branches.
  • Run key sales and stock reports and highlight trends and issues that may need attention.
  • Manage invoice error logs for product categories and resolve issues.
  • Assist in developing and improving processes and systems to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Liaise with key suppliers to support product movements and procure to pay (P2P) process.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including procurement, sales teams, logistics, finance and IT.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong PC skills particularly MS Office applications including Excel.
  • SAP, Core (Point of Sale) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems knowledge desirable.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of product categories.
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a support team environment.
  • A high level of initiative and motivation with adaptability to change.
  • Proven ability in planning, time management and working to agreed timelines.
