Advanced Technical Role

This is a highly technical position that requires subject matter expertise on asset management and maintenance procedures.

The successful candidate will lead the team in maintaining equipment uptime, supporting company policy and procedures to create an efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to breakdowns and providing support to technicians where necessary.
  • Assisting supervisors and managers in monitoring machine reliability.
  • Identifying and executing machine or line improvement projects.
  • Liaising with production on line improvement projects.
  • Assisting with commissioning of new machinery.
  • Assisting with training of technicians and operators.
  • Assisting with evaluation of existing PM's and modifying where necessary.
  • Providing on-call support and attending site if necessary.
  • Flexibility to support holiday and sickness cover for other shifts.
  • Playing a key role in planning and executing machine and fabric repairs in advance of visits and audits.
  • Participating in PM programs and spare parts projects.
  • Engaging with H&S compliance program.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Demonstrated ability in fault-finding and downtime issue resolution.
  • Machine knowledge in core processing equipment – thermoformers, bagging machines, multi-headed weighers, and cooking & freezing assets.
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff and having the ability to transfer technical knowledge.
  • Experience in managing contractor staff.
