Unlock Your Potential as a Junior Quantity Surveyor
As a Junior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial team with accurate cost management and have opportunities to be involved in the sales function.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Review tender enquiries and analyze tenders for potential risks and opportunities, ensuring timely delivery and excellent client relationships.
- Consult with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on pricing and contracts, taking into account industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and submit Pricing Proposals in conjunction with the Head of Sales, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and company policies.
- Contract Administration - Execute Sub-Contract and Collateral Warranty agreements, monitor compliance, manage variations, and ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Risk Management – Identify and assess financial and contractual risks, providing recommendations to mitigate or avoid them, highlighting key findings and areas for improvement.
- Conduct project cost analysis and prepare reports for senior management, using detailed records of estimating records and customer interactions.
- Liaise with Suppliers on product and pricing updates, negotiating best deals for our clients while maintaining accurate records.
- Final Account preparations, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for, resulting in timely settlement and compliance with all relevant standards.
- Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field, with strong analytical thinking skills.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the construction sector, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD or similar, with experience maintaining detailed records of estimating records and customer interactions.
- Able to work independently and under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills, and hold a full clean driver's license.
