Job Title

A Database Administrator is needed to support a global Microsoft SQL Server estate. The successful candidate will have expertise in performance tuning techniques, patching methodologies, and maintenance routines necessary for managing extensive SQL Server estates securely.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and execute multiple SQL Server upgrades as part of significant data centre migration projects. Key responsibilities include overseeing the development of SQL Server instances across the global estate, monitoring the health and performance of the SQL Server environment, developing and maintaining database support utilities, and planning for future storage capacity requirements.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have demonstrated experience executing complex SQL Server upgrades or migrations within enterprise environments. Proven ability configuring and supporting SQL Server AlwaysOn availability groups, expertise in performance tuning techniques, and comprehensive understanding of patching methodologies and maintenance routines are essential. In-depth familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server architecture and related Windows Server stack components is also required. Additionally, ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management knowledge is beneficial.
