Role Overview
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Payroll Co-ordinator to join our team in the Europe Payroll Department. This is a fixed-term contract for 6 months.
Responsibilities- Collate payroll data from internal sources and communicate with external payroll providers in line with strict deadlines.
- Process accurate payroll in accordance with country-specific requirements.
- Validate monthly payroll payments via reconciliation of reports from payroll providers with internal sourced data.
- Provide accounting information to the Europe General Ledger teams in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage month-end payroll activities, including journal preparation, accruals, and employee tax reconciliations.
- Ensure all statutory payments and deductions are made within each country's deadlines.
- Respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Work with the Europe Team Leader and external providers on ad-hoc payroll activities such as terminations, unique holiday situations, etc.
- Maintain cashflow schedules for Finance.
- Raise and receipt POs as required.
- Collect and collate data as necessary.
- Generate ad-hoc reports for HR/Finance as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure payroll integrity.
- Co-own quarterly MBO & Commission payments with HR/Finance and ensure timely completion.
- Assist in checking and distributing quarterly commission statements.
- Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel.
- High numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Payroll automation skills.
- Experience operating Payroll processes in a Shared Services Centre or multi-country/multi-currency corporate environment.
- Knowledge of Payroll or Accounting systems.
- Degree-level Accountancy desirable.
- Leaving Certificate Maths or Accounting certification.
- IPASS qualification or international equivalent.
