Hotel Receptionist Job Description

The role of a hotel receptionist is multifaceted and plays a crucial part in the overall guest experience. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our front desk team, where they will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests upon arrival and throughout their stay.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience working in a busy reception environment, preferably within the hospitality sector. They should demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring that all guests receive a warm and welcoming greeting.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring all guests receive a professional and courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay.
  • Anticipating guests' needs and taking steps to enhance their experience.
  • Carrying out departmental tasks, duties, and checklists as established in our Standard Operations Manual.
  • Maintaining good communication and liaison with management and other departments, particularly Accommodation.
  • Assisting in promoting sales opportunities within the department and maximising every potential sale.

In addition to excellent customer service skills, we require:

  • 1 year experience working at the front desk of a 4* or 5* star hotel.
  • Opera experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Fluent English essential.
