Succeed as a National Account Manager by leading the commercial strategy for key accounts, driving growth through innovative product designs and exceptional customer relationships.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing:
    • Secure best prices from suppliers for all products purchased.
    • Earn excellent margins through strong buying.
    • Liaise with World suppliers to ensure timely arrival of seasonal and standard packaging and product.
    • Book product in advance for key seasonal events.
  • Key Account Management:
    • Manage key customer accounts, agreeing pricing on plants and sundry items.
    • Prepare promotional pricing - complete weekly pricelist for customers.
    • Forecast weekly sales and compare actual and forecasts.
    • Agree and sign off all seasonal ranges and promotions.
    • Assist with new product development and innovation for all seasonal events.
  • Stock Management:
    • Order and forecast stock daily.
    • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure right consistency in orders to meet customer demand.
    • Undertake pack house walk around to check quality, quantity, reasons for rejection, shelf life.
Requirements
  • Key Skills:
  • Experience working as a plant buyer/seller in the horticulture sector.
  • Excellent IT skills particularly excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
