We are seeking a Quality Control Microbiologist to join our team in Dublin. This exciting opportunity will involve qualifying the Microbiology Quality Control lab and transferring microbiological analytical methods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for laying out the lab testing flow to ensure a streamlined process in line with lean principles. The full analytical scope of QC will incorporate microbiology, mycoplasma (DNA) analytics, analytical chemistry, bioassay, raw materials, stability, and in-process testing.

Advanced analytical methods will enable the candidate to work in an innovative environment that encourages communication and ideas for the future. The candidate will have responsibilities in analytical transfer and qualification of methods.

Duties:

  • Continuous learning, improvement, and development
  • Supporting activities for general lab readiness, laboratory equipment qualification, and method transfers
  • Performing routine microbiological analytical techniques, including environmental monitoring, WFI testing, growth promotion testing, In-process product testing, and Final product testing
  • Integrating and completing all documentation on time and being familiar with LIMS
  • Training and being trained in the use of Rapid microbiology techniques
  • Following up-to-date analytical practices with reference to pharmacopoeias, specifications, regulations, and industry standards
  • Updating SOP's and writing protocols as required
  • Supporting the laboratory testing schedule to achieve an efficient QC system
  • Receiving and managing samples that come into the lab for stability, in-process, and release testing
  • Reagent preparation, cleaning, and routine equipment maintenance
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and GLP within the laboratory
  • Calibrating and maintaining all designated laboratory instruments
  • Participating in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and implementing corrective/preventative measures
  • Ensuring training is current for all job functions performed
  • Assisting in training new QC Analysts on routine procedures and practices
  • Ordering, stocking, and receiving laboratory supplies
  • Maintaining data integrity and ensuring compliance with company SOPs, specifications, and cGMP regulations
  • Ensuring cGMP standards are maintained at all times
  • Delivering area performance to meet or exceed performance or quality goals
  • Promoting and participating in the implementation and maintenance of relevant safety programs
  • Participating and complying with the Quality Management System requirements
  • Driving a culture of Continuous Improvement by deploying Six Sigma tools
