Director of Procurement

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive with a strong ability to drive commercial growth and operational excellence through strategic procurement.

This role encompasses all aspects of retail hard goods purchasing, involving the development and execution of sourcing strategies that deliver financial gains, strengthen supplier partnerships, and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing innovative procurement approaches to ensure cost-effective purchasing that supports sales and profitability objectives.
  • Identifying new business opportunities across retail categories by leveraging market insight and trend analysis to inform procurement decisions.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing procurement team, fostering creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establishing and managing long-term supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms that enhance quality, margin, and innovation.

Requirements for this Director of Procurement position include:

  • 10+ years' experience in senior procurement roles with a proven track record of driving commercial growth.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with expertise in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in sourcing, supply chain management, and product category planning.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
