The role of a temporary administrative assistant is to provide support to a small law firm based in Laois.
- Responsibilities include answering phone calls, managing diaries and scheduling appointments, drafting letters to clients, liaising with barristers via phone and email, and performing other basic administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in an administrative or reception capacity is essential.
- A background in a legal environment would be advantageous.
- A degree interest in law, particularly criminal law, would be desirable but not mandatory.
- The ideal candidate should possess professional, confident and personable communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and diaries efficiently, are necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative and correspondence tasks are essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel, is necessary.
- The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances is also important.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are key requirements.
