Seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a leading automotive organisation expanding its presence in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive monthly financial statements, analysing results and highlighting trends and deviations to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in creating and managing budgets and forecasts, and analyse financial performance against these goals.
  • Maintain effective cash management systems and forecast cash needs to ensure the business has adequate funds.
  • Establish and manage internal controls and policies to safeguard assets, ensure accountability and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee accounting staff, provide coaching, mentoring and career development to attract, retain and develop the team.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to department managers to help them understand their performance and develop action plans for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Strong Accounting Skills: Expertise in general ledger, financial statement preparation and month-end closing procedures.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret financial data, identify issues and provide actionable insights.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead and mentor an accounting team, and strong written and oral communication skills to liaise with management and staff.
  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset with a pragmatic approach to drive operational excellence and financial growth.
  • Detail-Oriented: A high level of organisation and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial matters.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in various financial management software and systems used by dealerships.
