Maintenance Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems. This key role involves implementing preventative maintenance programs, conducting machinery troubleshooting, and maximizing equipment reliability to achieve production goals.

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures during planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance on plant, machinery, and equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, identify maintenance issues, and undertake general mechanical repairs while completing relevant risk assessments and method statements.
  • Maintain and update the maintenance management system by recording all work carried out, equipment updates, and generating performance reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, providing technical support where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with projects to enhance operations and maintenance processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting qualification with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a mechanical maintenance fitter, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to repair and optimize equipment performance, provide engineering support, and suggest improvements.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach, able to multitask, adapt, and focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
