Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Prepare and file accurate VAT returns in accordance with relevant regulations and deadlines.">
  • Process and manage PAYE/PRSI calculations and submissions, including year-end returns.">
  • Handle RCT, ensuring correct deductions and submissions for relevant payments.">
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation to ensure continuous compliance.">
  • Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations for multiple client accounts.">
  • Manage and process client invoicing, including sales invoices and credit notes.">
  • Maintain and update debtors' ledgers, ensuring accurate recording of outstanding payments and assisting with debtor management.">
  • Process supplier invoices and expenses, ensuring proper coding and approvals.">
  • Liaise directly with clients to request information, clarify transactions, and resolve queries professionally.">
  • Provide support to senior accountants as needed.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant experience in a similar bookkeeping role, preferably within an accountancy practice or a fast-paced business environment.">
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.">
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a methodical approach to tasks and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.">
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work, particularly with financial data.">
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.">
