Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the organisation and co-ordination of site-based activities, leading and co-ordinating teams of Mechanical Engineering trade professionals on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment, safe systems of work, competent personnel and safe working practices and culture.
  • Supervise activity/work package delivery.
  • Record daily activity logs for all site activity.
  • Liaise with various trade professionals to organise new work areas and ensure smooth co-ordination.
  • Liaise with subcontractors on materials orders.
  • Manage direct site staff and direct them to designated work areas.
  • Attend regular site meetings with site management to update on progress.
  • Provide technical support to trade teams.
  • Ensure all work areas are clear and ready to be handed over.
Requirements

  • A senior trades qualification or equivalent coupled with 5+ years site experience ideally within pharmaceutical/medical device, commercial, industrial or data centre type sectors.
  • A strong understanding of site activities and how they are planned and coordinated.
  • A general knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services, Utilities, Process Piping Systems etc.
  • The ability to interpret schematics & Mechanical Drawings.
  • A record of success as a Trade Leader.
  • Familiarity with materials ordering and lead times.
  • A strong client focus.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills/strong interpersonal skills.
  • A planner/organised individual.
  • An influencer.
  • Conscientious.
  • Decisive and action-oriented.
  • A team player.
  • Attentive to detail and a record keeper.
