Job Summary:

The role of a Senior Laboratory Researcher is to lead the technical/scientific aspects of a dynamic and innovative microbiology laboratory.

The laboratory conducts examinations for bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections and comprises various departments, including bacteriology, serology, molecular diagnostics, and CL3 facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced molecular diagnostic techniques.
  • Oversee the validation and verification of test methods.
  • Participate in ensuring quality management systems adhere to ISO standards.

Requirements:

  • A postgraduate degree in medical laboratory science or a related field.
  • Eligibility for fellowship with The Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
  • Registration as a medical scientist with CORU.
  • 4 years' experience in a medical laboratory position.
