Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care to children with disabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to enhance their career in the area of Child disability and develop their range of Clinical experience in this field.

The successful candidate will be part of a Supportive, Multidisciplinary team of Child disability Professionals and will provide a support service to enhance the service provision and research capacity of qualified Psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within the scope of practice, limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct and clinical governance.
  • Undertake prescribed tasks relating to assessment and intervention commensurate with level of competence under supervision of a professionally qualified psychologist.
  • Provide reports as required in accordance with required standards.
  • Integrate assessment findings to inform clinical case formulations.
  • Assist in allocating service users to prescribed interventions based on service user preference and clinical need.
  • Deliver a range of prescribed brief evidence-based interventions to service users including guided self-help; psycho-educational groups; and relevant CBT.

Requirements:

  • A Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) accredited qualification at not less than a Level 8 at 2.1 honours grade on the QQI qualifications framework in which psychology was a major subject
  • Experience working within the area of child disabilities and experience working as part of a team.
  • An awareness and understanding of child disabilities and sufficient clinical knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
