Operational Readiness Position

DB Engineering & Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant in Operational Readiness to support the planning, implementation, and assurance of operations and maintenance (O&M) systems for new rail and urban transit projects.

The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of expertise in setting up and managing O&M organizations, staff training, and support for commissioning and safety certification phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute operational readiness work streams for new rail systems, aligning with international best practices and local regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement training frameworks, including train-the-trainers programs, to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer and capacity building for O&M staff.
  • Support the setup and structuring of O&M organizations, defining operational procedures, resource plans, and performance metrics.
  • Manage and supervise testing, commissioning, and trial run phases, ensuring all operational systems are validated and ready for service.
  • Contribute to operational risk assessments and safety cases.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including system integrators, safety assessors, rolling stock experts, and regulatory bodies to ensure a cohesive readiness process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in configuration management within large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, or safety-critical industries.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate Excel and Word skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel as per business and client requirements.
