Leading a New Care Home in North Dublin

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead and manage a team of professionals in a brand new care home in North Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering high-quality resident care, enhancing person-centered approaches, and driving innovation.

You will have overall responsibility for ensuring the delivery of exceptional care services, managing staff performance, and maintaining regulatory compliance. You will work closely with colleagues to create a positive and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the delivery of high-quality resident care
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the person-centered approach
  • Manage and lead a team to achieve their full potential
  • Conduct internal audits and report on home KPIs
  • Provide initial induction and ongoing training and development of staff
  • Encourage innovative practice and continuous improvement
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to HIQA standards
Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualities and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Senior Nursing Management position in the Care of the elderly (within the last 6 years)
  • Post-registration management qualification (QQI Level 6 minimum)
  • Currently registered with NMBI
  • Proven track record of clinical, leadership, and people skills
  • Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations, and the 'HEALTH ACT 2007'
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Proven track record in decision-making ability
  • Qualification in Gerontology is desirable
