Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our solicitors, ensuring the smooth operation of court cases and daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete digital dictation and typing assignments with precision and speed.
- Maintain and update our case management system with relevant documents and information in a timely manner.
- Prepare briefs for counsel and compile court books for hearings, trials, and motions efficiently.
- Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning with attention to detail.
- Schedule medical and specialist appointments as required, demonstrating effective time management skills.
- Client Interaction: Manage incoming calls, relay messages, and communicate with clients on behalf of partners and solicitors in a professional manner.
- Open, date-stamp, and scan incoming mail, saving correspondence to appropriate client files promptly.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least 1 year's experience in a Legal Secretary position is essential.
- Litigation experience is highly desirable.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills are crucial.
- Demonstrated diary management skills are necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner are required.
