Job Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work as part of a supportive team, delivering high-quality care services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Difficulties.


Key Responsibilities
  • To work collaboratively with the line manager to ensure service objectives are met and reviewed, maintaining and improving the quality of care provided.
  • To manage risk in a systematic way, embedded in a culture of safety, welfare, and quality of life for residents.
  • To support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Difficulties, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • To assist with intimate care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • To liaise effectively with service users, their networks of support, family members, and other professionals, where applicable, to ensure consistent planning and delivery of care.
  • To work in partnership with colleagues and management to establish, maintain, and monitor standards of performance for all aspects of the service, including resident involvement and consultation.
  • To facilitate and support individual programmes of meaningful activities, promoting independence and choice.
  • To support residents with regular exercise and outdoor activities, enhancing their overall well-being.

Requirements
  • A strong understanding of Intellectual Disability, with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy, with the ability to use relevant software and systems.
  • A theoretical understanding of low arousal approaches, with experience in delivering person-centred care.
