Job Opportunity: Energy Pricing Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electricity, gas, and heat tariffs for commercial customers, while also supporting residential pricing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain commercial & Residential electricity, gas, and heat prices and tariffs
  • Prepare price information for tenders/quotes for larger customers
  • Track prices offered and benchmark
  • Conduct competitor analysis to understand market dynamics
  • Critique and evaluate competitor offerings to enhance customer experience
  • Work with the hedging team to manage and report on price risk
  • Assist in day-to-day trading activities and execute trades for commercial customers
  • Collaborate with management to produce reports on commercial activities and exposures
Customer Focused:
  • Answer price-related queries for internal and external customers
  • Provide trading support and serve as a point of contact
  • Share market insights with the customer base
  • Support commercial sales and billing teams to resolve customer queries
  • Guide commercial customers on green energy solutions, including renewable energy options
Requirements:
  • Five years' experience in the energy industry within supply and/or generation
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish Electricity and Gas markets
  • Fundamental understanding of electricity and gas customer pricing
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail abilities
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Data handling and programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL, PowerBI)
  • Effective communication and process improvement skills
