Site Maintenance Director

About the Role:

This is a leadership position responsible for the overall maintenance strategy, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Reporting to the Site Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the site's maintenance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Own and deliver KPIs across safety, equipment efficiency, downtime, preventative maintenance, energy optimisation, and project delivery.
  • Drive proactive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimise unplanned downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and engineering projects.
  • Champion lean manufacturing principles and implement best-in-class maintenance systems.
  • Promote sustainability and EH&S compliance across all engineering activities.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualified and/or third-level qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–10 years' experience in a manufacturing, process, or maintenance leadership role—ideally in the dairy, food, or beverage sector.
  • Strong background in hygienic maintenance and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, PEMAC).
  • Results-driven, customer-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
