We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Galway. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food production, team supervision, quality control, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven culinary professional looking to develop their leadership skills and contribute to a creative, quality-focused kitchen environment.

You will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading and motivating kitchen staff during service and in prep, ensuring consistent quality and presentation of dishes across all areas, and helping manage stock levels, ordering, and food cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen operations
  • Creative approach to menu development and food presentation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts including weekends
