Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in the IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and enhancing existing Oracle-based systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day database administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle 12c environments.
  • Manage and support Oracle Forms and Reports and WebLogic Server, including deployments and troubleshooting.
  • Support and maintain Hyperion SQR reporting infrastructure.
  • Implement and monitor robust backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN, Dataguard and Data Pump utilities.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of current systems to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Perform AIX system administration tasks related to the Oracle environment, including patching and resource management.
  • Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans, test them, and execute them.

Requirements:
  • The successful candidate must have at least 7 years' experience in senior roles with similar responsibilities.
  • They must hold an Oracle Certified Professional Level qualification or above.
  • Experience in upgrading and installing Oracle software, specifically from Oracle 12c to 19c, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle Forms/Reports, AIX Operating System, and the latest versions of Oracle Database and WebLogic Server is essential.

Deliverables:
  • Monitor and maintain the Oracle Software Suite and AIX environment on a daily basis.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database problems, including database tuning.
  • Assist with future database design and potential upgrade of our current Oracle Database and Middleware software stack.
