Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support the Street View program. This is a fast-paced, innovative, collaborative environment and this role is in the critical path for much of the program's operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade Document Management: Process Move Order Requests (MORs) from various warehouses across multiple locations.
  • Commercial Document Review: Ensure that all commercial documents in connection with MORs are in place and compliant with shipping practices.
  • Manual Document Creation: Create manual trade documents as needed.
  • Brokerage & Transportation Performance: Maintain brokerage & transportation performance reports, and report transportation cost as requested.
  • Invoice Approval: Review and approve commercial invoices generated for order types.
  • Clearance and Resolution: Coordinate and resolve or escalate to manager any inbound international shipments stuck at customs.
  • Emerging Markets Research: Carry out emerging markets research to determine shipping and compliance regulations in new locations.
  • Location Code Management: Provide location code management using internal tools.
  • MOR Processing: Manage the process of receiving MORs and other requests to confirmation of delivery by carriers.
  • Request Review: Review requests via internal systems to ensure correct entities, incoterms etc are used.
  • Order Form Status Update: Update Order Form status for non-inventory shipments.
  • Client Support: Work with clients to meet agreed delivery schedules and create plans to support on-time delivery.
  • Project Planning: Work with internal Logistics Analyst teams to plan for and execute new projects.
  • Order Backlog Monitoring: Monitor order backlog to identify potential problem orders and initiate corrective actions.
  • Dangerous Goods Management: Manage Dangerous Goods and Hazardous shipments globally by providing guidance and approval for all DG related shipments.
  • ATA Carnet Management: Process and manage ATA Carnets globally.

Requirements:

  • International Shipping Expertise: Excellent knowledge of international shipping procedures and trade documents.
  • Logistics Experience: Prior professional experience in logistics and/or compliance roles.
  • Forward/Reverse Logistics Knowledge: Expert knowledge of Forward, Reverse, and Third Party Logistics (3PL) workflows, Commercial invoice forms, SLI's, packing list, shipper's export declarations, import duties and tax assessments, temporary importations.
  • Shipping Software Familiarity: Working knowledge of Fedex Ship Manager, DHL Import/Export Portals, Tariff classifications.
  • Manufacturing Documentation: Familiarity with Manufacturing and assembly documentation (BOM, drawings), PLM software, and Google Sheets, Docs, Calendar & Gmail.
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Excellent analytical and organization skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills.
