Senior Financial Operations Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our prestigious financial services organisation as a Senior Financial Operations Specialist. The role will involve leading a dynamic team in a key control function, bridging the Front Office and external market counterparties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor and support a high-performing team, overseeing training plans, recruitment needs and performance reviews.
  • Manage trade lifecycle oversight including matching, settlement, reconciliation and failed trade resolution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting (e.g., EMIR, SFTR, CSDR).
  • Oversee collateral management processes and relationships with outsourced providers.
  • Monitor and manage OTC derivatives lifecycle events and associated documentation (e.g., ISDA, CSA).
  • Drive process automation and data analytics initiatives (e.g., RPA, dashboards, BI tools).
  • Champion operational risk awareness and implement process improvements aligned with industry best practices.
  • Coordinate operational requirements for fund launches, closures and mergers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in financial operations, with strong exposure to Middle Office.
  • Extensive knowledge of the full trade and settlement lifecycle, including OTC derivatives and exchange-traded instruments.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience with fund operations and a strong understanding of NAV impactors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and reporting frameworks (EMIR, SFTR, etc.).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with systems such as Bloomberg, SWIFT, CTM, OSTTRA, FusionInvest and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, VBA, SQL, Snowflake).
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Finance, Mathematics or related field.
