We are seeking a diligent and compassionate Shift Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and caring environment for all service users, while providing non-directive support and advocacy services as required.

Job Description

The Shift Attendant will work as part of a team to promote service user participation and social interaction with the community, while adhering to the ethos of GSCK Tipperary. This includes:

  • Complying with all policies and procedures
  • Adhering to the ethos of GSCK Tipery
  • Providing a non-directive support and advocacy service to service users
  • Promoting service user participation and social interaction with the community

In addition, the Shift Attendant may be required to:

  • Support and follow the behavioural care/support plans as developed by Project Workers
  • Support clients/residents, where requested and as appropriate on general appointments as part of care/support plans
  • Act as an advocate for service users as appropriate
  • Be responsible for the supervision of GSCK while on duty
  • Write reports and maintain accurate records as required

Key Responsibilities

The Shift Attendant must possess a full clean driving license and have a working knowledge of the National Quality Standards for Homeless Services and the National Standards for Better Safer Healthcare.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Level 5 qualification in Social Care
  • A full clean driving license
