Job Description:

Our organisation seeks an accomplished Financial Strategist to spearhead financial operations, establish strategic plans and drive growth initiatives. This is a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned FC to lead a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to set and achieve ambitious financial objectives, aligning business strategy with long-term goals.
  2. Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage comprehensive financial forecasts, budgets, and reporting processes to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  3. Operations & Financial Oversight: Direct day-to-day financial operations, encompassing all operational costs as well as accounting, cash management, financial reporting, and compliance.
  4. Team Management: Lead and build a cohesive finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning and development opportunities.
  5. Business Partnerships: Foster strong working relationships across departments to ensure seamless alignment of financial targets with business goals and operational strategies.

Develop a forward-thinking approach by driving efficiency improvements and identifying innovative revenue streams. Strong analytical skills, coupled with exceptional communication abilities, are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Accountant in a Financial Controller position
  • Proven track record as a FC, preferably in a small to medium-sized business with a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Skilled in modern accounting and CRM/ERP systems, with data visualisation expertise a significant advantage
  • Expertise in working capital and cash flow management
  • Strong proficiency in financial accounting and key metrics
  • Leadership and teamwork experience within a dynamic finance team
  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Results-driven approach with a willingness to delve into details and execute day-to-day financial activities
