Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Hotel Accountant to manage financial operations at a prestigious country house.
About the Role:- Responsibility for room sales, restaurant reservations, confirmation of bookings, and commission payments via in-house systems and online platforms.
- Collaboration with the front office team to reconcile cash and lodgements, check guest in and out details, and provide excellent customer service.
- Loading rates and packages onto online booking systems and managing online sales effectively.
- An outgoing and friendly personality, willingness to assist guests, and ease in dealing with people.
- Proficiency in using technology, including accounting software, Xero, Sage Payroll, and iHotelligence.
- Processing supplier invoices and payments, reconciling supplier balances, monitoring cash and credit card transactions, and ensuring daily takings reconciliation.
- Completing payroll processing, gratuity allocation, tracking and reporting revenue and costs, and timely KPI report submission.
- Accountability for timely filing of revenue returns, including VAT and PAYE, and assistance in end-of-year audit and monthly forecasting.
- Preparation of quarterly and month-end accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- At least 4 years of experience as a hotel accountant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in accountancy software and systems.
