Physiotherapist Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our Cork Childrens Services, Curraheen, Cork. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents enrolled on the CDNT, providing physiotherapy services across various settings.

About the Job

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of physiotherapy services, including assessment and intervention to children with complex needs arising from a disability. As a senior member of the interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with other professionals to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

Responsibilities

  1. Assess and develop physiotherapy plans for children with complex disabilities.
  2. Deliver physiotherapy sessions in clinic, schools, preschools, special schools, children's homes, and community settings.
  3. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes for children and their families.
  4. Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Be registered, or eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register with CORU at time of application.
  • Have three years' clinical experience working as a physiotherapist.
  • Hold a Full clean Drivers Licence.
  • Clinical experience working with children and their families as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A high standard of suitability and professional ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to us.
