Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing electrical systems for primary distribution to main switch
  • Conducting joint pole calculations
  • Performing VD/VF calculations
  • Cable pull calculations
  • Ability to follow electric design engineering standards
  • Creating materials lists associated with each project
  • Preparing drawing sets and submittals for PG&E
  • Tracking submittals to PG&E through approval
  • Skilled in the use of AutoCAD 2014, including working with external references

Requirements:

  • Three plus years' experience as a designer at a mechanical engineering or equivalent firm may also be acceptable
  • Field experience in the construction of gas systems may also be considered
  • G.O. 95 standards knowledge
  • Pole loading programs including OCALC, EZ load and SPIDA
  • JPA (Joint Pole Application) Process
  • Knowledge of GIS
