Experienced Counsellor Therapist

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate counsellor therapists to join our team in delivering exceptional emotional support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges.
In this role, you will work in primary care settings with medical card holders aged 18 years and over, providing accessible and affordable mental health support to those who need it most.
Required Qualifications and ExperienceTo be eligible for this role, applicants must possess:
- A Level 7 qualification (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health-related profession.
- Either:
- (a) A degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognised by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) or a relevant body within the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP).
- (b) Full accredited membership with IACP or a relevant body within ICP.
- Or:
- (c) A post-graduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)
- (d) Commenced registration process with PSI or fully registered with the clinical or counselling psychology division of PSI.
- A minimum of two years' relevant post-qualification experience.
A selection process will also be applied. Successful applicants may have the opportunity to provide trauma-informed counselling contracts to adult survivors of childhood trauma under the governance of the National Counselling Service.
