About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counsellor/Therapist to join our team in providing short-term counselling services to medical card holders in primary care settings.

The successful applicant will work under the governance of the HSE National Counselling Service, providing evidence-based counselling therapies to adult survivors of childhood trauma and other individuals requiring mental health support.

Responsibilities include working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, developing individualised treatment plans, and maintaining accurate records of client interactions.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

">
  • ">
  • A recognised Level 7 qualification (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health-related profession.">
">

Additionally, applicants must have either:

">
  • ">
  • 2. (a) A degree or postgraduate qualification in counselling, or psychotherapy recognised by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) or the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).">
  • 2. (b) Full accredited membership with IACP or PSI.">
  • 2. (c) A postgraduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognised by PSI.">
  • 2. (d) Registration with PSI or full registration with the clinical or counselling psychology division of PSI.">

Applicants must also have a minimum of two years' relevant post-qualification experience, unless otherwise exempt due to full-time postgraduate qualifications.
