Job Role

The Relief Kitchen Assistant is a vital member of our culinary team, tasked with supporting the delivery of nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance the daily lives of our residents.

About This Role

You will assist in the preparation and service of meals and beverages, support the Cook/Chef in preparing fresh, wholesome food and home baking, and help maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages to meet the dietary needs of residents
  • Assist the Cook/Chef in meal preparation, including food planning, shopping, and cooking
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Clean and sanitise cookware, utensils, crockery, and kitchen equipment as required
  • Monitor stock levels and advise on kitchen supplies when needed
Requirements

A dependable and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude. Previous experience in a kitchen or catering setting is preferred, along with basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
