Job Overview

This housing development company is a non-profit organisation focused on providing secure, affordable housing solutions.

They are seeking an experienced Development Manager to drive new development opportunities and shape the future of housing in Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire development life-cycle of projects, from site acquisition and planning to construction completion and handover.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Source potential development sites in Dublin, ensuring they meet social housing needs.
  • Lead the pre-planning process, liaising with architects, engineers, and local authorities to secure planning permission.
  • Manage project budgets and secure funding from public and private sources.
  • Oversee the design and construction phases of projects, ensuring compliance with social housing standards and sustainability best practices.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, contractors, consultants, local authorities, and residents.
Required Qualifications:
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Real estate, Property Management or other related discipline.
  • Development/Project Management experience necessary.
  • Strong understanding of the residential housing landscape in Dublin and relevant government policies.
  • Excellent knowledge of planning and development regulations.
  • Experience in securing funding and managing project budgets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant project management software (e.g., MS Project).
  • A passion for social housing development and a commitment to creating positive social impact.
  • MS Office
  • Own vehicle and full clean driving license required.
