Job Summary
Senior Process Optimization Specialist - 23 Month Fixed Term Contract
The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership in a manufacturing environment, possessing and applying broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to deliver complex assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple significant engineering projects through project management offices.
- Provide technical leadership from an engineering perspective.
- Continuously improve process performance.
- Implement lean manufacture within the organization.
- Interface with cross-functional departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Drive process troubleshooting and problem-solving initiatives.
- Develop and guide assigned team members.
- Lead manufacturing engineers and technicians as required.
- Develop and implement process optimization equipment.
- Ensure system integration is considered in all systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers, QA, and Ops to embed testing into development and validation.
- Lead issue analysis, root cause identification, and timely resolution.
- Lead FMEA's, review, and support development of quality documents.
- Validate systems with other engineers.
- Define and monitor quality metrics and KPIs.
- Own requirements and design reviews for testability input.
- Follow company quality and regulatory standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
- Proven project management skills through business-critical project delivery.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of providing technical leadership and direction to engineers, students, technicians, and operators.
- Capable of working in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
- Demonstrable strong analytical and problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable autonomy and flexibility.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Technological expert willing to source, investigate, and implement technological advances.
- Confident and effective decision maker with proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
