A Quantity Surveyor plays a crucial role in the commercial management of construction projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage project finances, including budgeting and cost forecasting.
- Oversee variations and compensation events to ensure that they are properly assessed and managed.
- Provide advice on potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Regularly liaise with project stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Mentor junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- At least 7 years of post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Large-scale construction site experience.
- Membership of the Master's Council of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (MSCSI) or working towards chartership.
- Valid working rights within Ireland.
