We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Customs Clearance Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate customs entries, coordinating documentation, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.

  1. Key Responsibilities
  2. Prepare and submit accurate customs entries, adhering to Irish Customs regulations and company procedures.
  3. Coordinate customs clearance documentation for the customer base.
  4. Conduct thorough due diligence checks and escalate processes where necessary.
  5. Collaborate with the operational team to ensure accurate information availability.
  6. Communicate effectively with customs authorities on a daily basis.
  7. Work closely with key account customers to ensure their needs are met and deliver exceptional customer service.
  8. Process Duty/VAT correctly and collect as required.
  9. Resolve queries and refunds promptly and propose solutions to enhance clients' experience.
  10. Maintain data quality on our Supply Chain Visibility platform.
  11. Stay updated on the latest Customs Regulations updates and changes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in completing customs entries in a freight forwarding environment.
  • Familiarity with customs software such as Thyme IT.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Irish customs procedures and systems.
  • Quick and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent MS Word and Excel skills.
