Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team at Ookla, a global leader in connectivity intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day payroll operations for our employees globally.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will process and manage payrolls for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and benefits. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations for each region we operate in. They will also collaborate with our HR team to update payroll information related to new hires, promotions, and salary changes. Furthermore, they will prepare and submit reports related to payroll, taxes, deductions, and other financial obligations. Other key responsibilities include assisting in resolving payroll-related inquiries, maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information, managing and reconciling payroll-related accounts, and coordinating with external payroll providers as necessary.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need 3+ years of experience in payroll coordination or a similar field. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is also required. You should have in-depth knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations internationally, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Experience working with global payroll platforms and HR software is essential. Excellent communication skills and strong organizational and problem-solving skills are also necessary.
