Food Safety and Quality Retail Coordinator

This is a key role within our team, responsible for managing and improving retail food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the retail food safety auditing program in association with Lloyd's Register
  • Define and implement food safety improvements
  • Monitor food safety continuous improvement plans
  • Liaise with sales teams on retail food safety
  • Proactively manage at-risk retailers through store assistance programs
  • Promote food safety best practice with retailers
  • Liaise with environmental health officers and the Food Safety Authority of Ireland on food safety matters
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in a retail operations role with experience of food safety and quality elements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage a busy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Third-level degree in food technology, science, or other relevant professional qualification
