Data Centre Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our technical team in delivering mission-critical infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project and benefit from strong career progression.

This newly created role is ideal for a seasoned technician looking to step into a leadership capacity. You'll be joining a high-performing technical team working in a cutting-edge environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations across the facility, ensuring all work orders and tasks are completed to agreed standards and logged through client systems.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and certification of optical hardware and networking infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and address faults, outages, and abnormal events with prompt corrective action and incident reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety obligations, cloud service standards, and environmental protocols.
  • Liaise with specialist contractors to review, audit, and implement maintenance reports and improvements.
Requirements:
  • Recognised trade qualification in electrical or mechanical services (essential)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a mission-critical or data centre environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with UPS systems, BMS platforms, chillers, standby generators, and electrical system testing
  • Proficiency in optical infrastructure – including fibre handling, installation, and certification
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to facilities maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear documentation
  • Strong IT literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn new systems

Professional Certifications: Recognised trade qualification in electrical or mechanical services
