The Role

We are seeking an experienced technical and people leader to lead our global software development team in building the next generation platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise to lead and manage a team of software developers and quality engineers to deliver key aspects of the platform roadmap.
  • Enhance CI/CD and DevOps techniques to increase release frequency and ensure product continuity through partnership with QA and DevOps team members.
  • Focus on customer found issues as well as internally raised issues to ensure a clean backlog of bugs.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality pull requests on the team – push early, push often, ensure high coverage, and automated quality gates.
  • Maintain operational delivery and consistency from the team – through agile, data-driven approach.
  • Create technical designs for the team in partnership with architecture and lead developers.
  • Oversee the creation of and reviews design tasks for user stories.
  • Own non-functional backlog; including technical debt, refactoring, component upgrades, deployment and rollback strategy for the product area.
  • May play an active development role.
  • Comprehend performance and usability of product in production to ensure continuous refinement and improvement.
  • Recruit and grow high performing team members.
  • Develop plans for all team members, utilizing Pluralsight for skills development.
  • Owning staffing decisions and overall team member performance – coaching, mentoring, disciplinary actions.
  • Participate in refinement sessions and represent the development team in same- ensuring definition of ready is met with Product Owner.
  • Partner with Product Owner, architecture and DevOps to set achievable, capacity-based roadmaps.
  • Interact with Product Owner to gain insight into adoption and usability of their product areas.
  • Interact with customer-facing teams to deepen understanding of customer interactions with our products.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Experience leading agile development teams, familiarity with agile at scale, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Expertise in C#/.net technology stack.
  • Solid understanding of plug-in architecture and extensibility.
  • Experience with cloud platforms(preferably Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes an advantage.
  • 1+ years in people management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
