As a Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager, you will oversee daily trading and analytical performance, implementing long-term strategic changes to drive growth.

You'll maximise online sales and enhance user experience through data-driven insights, collaboration with key teams, and targeted strategies.

This role requires a combination of analytical expertise, market insights, and technical skill to drive site performance and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Ecommerce Trading & Site Performance

  • Manage ecommerce site operations, ensuring optimum trading performance and smooth execution of content, promotions, and product launches.
  • Collaborate with buying and supply chain teams to identify stock opportunities and align product availability with online demand.
  • Analyse key site metrics like conversion rates, AOV, traffic, and bounce rates to drive improvements and meet ecommerce KPIs.
  • Assist in defining budget sales and margin growth targets based on previous online performance and future opportunities.

Analytical Analysis & Reporting

  • Use data and analytics to review site performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve sales and customer engagement.
  • Provide actionable insights to the team regarding site performance and customer behaviour to shape strategies and inform decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and regular reporting on campaign effectiveness, product performance, and trading opportunities.
  • Analyse search insights both on-site and externally and collaborate with paid media teams to identify untapped demand opportunities.

UX Optimisation & Site Recommendations

  • Regularly review website user experience, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement through data analysis and customer feedback.
  • Work closely with development agencies to make informed recommendations for design and functionality changes aimed at increasing user engagement and conversion rates.

Single View of Customer & Personalisation Strategy

  • Assist in defining and implementing a Single View of Customer strategy, unifying data across channels to create a holistic understanding of the customer journey.
  • Manage and enhance personalisation strategy on ecommerce site, presenting customers with relevant products, promotions, and content based on browsing and purchase history.
  • Work with marketing teams to leverage customer insights to enhance targeted campaigns, customer communications, and personalisation initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of personalisation tools and technologies to enhance customer experience and improve conversion rates.
  • Assist in developing robust CRM strategy to drive customer retention and engagement across multiple touchpoints.
  • Define and execute RFM model to segment and target customers based on purchasing behaviours, optimising marketing efforts and improving customer lifetime value.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong background in ecommerce trading and analytics, with at least 3-5 years of experience in an Ecommerce Trading Manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, A/B testing, and data visualisation tools.
  • Demonstrable understanding of user experience (UX) best practices, analysing and recommending improvements based on customer behaviour.
  • Experience with personalisation strategies, using customer data to tailor product offerings and enhance customer journeys.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms.
  • Experience working with CRM tools and defining customer segmentation strategies, including implementation of an RFM model.
  • Experience with email marketing, CRM automation, and loyalty programs.
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
