We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Environmental Health Specialist to join our team on an internship basis. As an Environmental Health Specialist intern, you will gain valuable experience in workplace safety management across a dynamic business environment.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in environmental health and safety management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in carrying out workplace risk assessments and safety inspections.
  • Supporting the review and updating of safety statements, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitoring and tracking safety performance indicators.
  • Participating in incident/accident investigations and maintaining related records.
  • Delivering health and safety training sessions.
  • Updating and maintaining safety documentation and databases.
  • Coordinating emergency drills and safety campaigns.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must currently be studying or have recently completed a qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related discipline. Knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation is an advantage. Strong organisational and time management skills, attention to detail with good problem-solving ability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are also essential.
